Featuring an exciting line-up of keynote speakers, plus two full days of workshops and speakers, and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues and exhibitors, including after-hours events such as our Technology Petting Zoo + Happy Hour, a Comedy Show and an optional tour of Danbury's Studio 170 & Hackerspace. Parking, breakfast, coffee/snack breaks, and a hot buffet lunch are included in the registration rate.

  • Payments for Early Bird Registration must be received at the CLA office by 3/16/2018 to receive the discounted rate. If you are paying by check, the CLA office must receive your check by 3/16/2018.
  • If registering in advance, payment in full must be received by CLA 5 days in advance of the conference.
  • If registering at the door, payment in full is required.
  • We cannot provide refunds, but if you are unable to make it to the Conference, you can transfer your admission to someone else. Please contact the CLA office at least 2 days before the event at 860-346-2444 to make these arrangements.


After March 16, 2018, the following rates apply for Member and Non-Member registration:

Non-Member $195 $300
Students, Unemployed, or Retired* $80 $125
Exhibits Only** $25 N/A

*Students, Unemployed, or Retired must be CLA members to register at the reduced rate. This rate requires a 2-hour volunteer commitment per day.

**The Exhibits Only rate includes access to the Exhibit Hall only. It does not include lunch or access to any breakout sessions, keynotes, or the after-hours activities..

Directions & Parking
The Crowne Plaza Danbury is located at 18 Old Ridgebury Road in Danbury, CT 06810. A map and more detailed directions are available on their online map. All CLA Conference attendees can park for free in the hotel parking lot!

Special Hotel Conference Room Rate

Rooms at the Danbury Crowne Plaza are offered at the special group rate of $99.00 per night (State and local taxes may apply). To reserve a hotel room for the conference, please use the Hotel Reservation Link or call 866-907-2314 and ask for the CLA Conference rate.


Monday Evening Events:

Technology Petting Zoo (drop-in between 4:45 and 6:00 PM)-

Join us after hours to learn about and test out some fun and exciting new technology provided by some of our vendors.  Is your library looking to purchase some tech kits for your patrons to use in-house or borrow, but are unsure of how the technology works? Here is your chance to test it out before you purchase and have some fun while doing it! Drinks and refreshments will be available.

Sea Tea Improv Performance (6:00 PM)-

After you've gotten your fix of new technology, come and watch Hartford's professional comedy company, Sea Tea Improv put on a performance guaranteed to make you laugh. 

Tuesday Evening Events:

Tour Danbury's Studio 170 & Hackerspace (beginning at 5:30 PM)-

Those who choose may drive to Danbury Public Library and take a tour of their new recording space-Studio 170 and nearby Hackerspace.  Transporation is not provided. Danbury Public Library is located at 170 Main Street, Danbury.  About a 10-minute ride from Crowne Plaza.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or check as payment. If paying by check, please be advised that your registration will not be completed until payment is received. You will be notified via email when your check is received and your registration is processed.

P.E.G.  (Proficiency Enhancement Grants)Need help paying for the conference? PEG provides funding to help members of the Connecticut Library Association improve their knowledge and skills. PEG funds some expenses for continuing education programs, workshops, seminars, courses, institutes, and other activities. More info here.
