2020 CLA Virtual Conference

The Annual Conference has gone virtual and it's FREE to all members!

  • Choose the programs you wish to attend a la carte style.
  • Get a link to all the sessions you register for beforehand and get admitted in from the waiting room once we cross-check our registration list. No worry of ZOOM-bombers.
  • No traveling, larger room capacities, and tons of programs to choose from over an entire week's time.
  • Extra: Exhibitor Showcase on the last day, for you to to see some of your favorite or new vendors.



In Lieu of the Annual CLA Conference being cancelled in April, we have put together a week-long virtual conference using the ZOOM platform.It was heartbreaking for our CLA President and Conference Committee to have to make the hard decision to cancel this year's annual conference for they were not able to see the hard work they put in and the hard work our conference presenters put in, come to life. We invite you to take advantage of this first-ever virtual ZOOM CLA conference, especially as it is FREE to you as a member -- and thanks for being one! 


In an effort to showcase the work of the conference committee and those that were set to present at annual, we are offering CLA members the opportunity to obtain professional development via a virtual conference for FREE. This will only apply to Individual memberships and not institutional memberships. These quality programs will feature the same presenters who were scheduled for the in-person event.  The convenience of a week-long schedule provides the same professional development and networking without the time and expense of traveling.


 To capture some of the excitement of our traditional conference, vendors and sponsors have agreed to hold a digital exhibits session.  Their financial support for this adapted format is deeply appreciated, and is helping to recoup some of our cancellation losses. 


If you are not yet a CLA member, what better time to join than today?  While we are apart, opportunities to make connections are more valuable than ever.  Your membership and participation in this conference is crucial to the Association's continued vitality and viability.  Encourage your peers, staff, trustees and Friends to see who we are: resilient, professional, welcoming, and leading the way for Connecticut's libraries since 1875. We invite Non-members to become members HERE for a cost starting at $25.00 (based on salary-Please see dues chart).  For those that do not wish to become members, but wish to register for a session or multiple sessions, we direct you to Non-Member Registration, where the cost will be $10.00 per session. All that wish to register for our Exhibitor Showcase, both members and non-members, can register for these presentations at no-cost.
